Nashville Day!

An all day event on Saturday August 17th when ‘CHEPSTOW’ will become ‘NASHVILLE’ for the day.

On the evening of 17th August, ‘Castell Roc’ brings to town the amazing show ‘A Country Night In Nashville’, so a small team of like minded individuals have decided to pick up on this theme and make a whole day of fun and music in the town centre.

The town centre below the arch will be closed to traffic, with a sign in front saying ‘WELCOME TO NASHVILLE’ – step past that and what do you see? – ‘WOW’ !!! American cars, American bikes, bucking bronco, children’s carousels, a Fun Casino (inside the palmer centre), fun stalls – coconut shy, hook a duck, pick a prize, hoopla etc, candy floss, ice cream, burgers, barbecue, even Chepstow fire brigade are decorating their fire engine and dressing up as cowboys. ‘Sara’ too have requested to be involved. American flags, bunting (decorated by, schools, brownie’s, guides, cubs etc) and a treasure hunt to take people around the shops, a competition to win two tickets for the Nashville night at the castle for best dressed cowboy & cowgirl, all the shops can’t wait and have their cowboy hats ready, and much much more.
